Mod: Front Jack Adapter for a Drill

I've read a few threads about modifications to use an electric drill on a manual jack. I've got a small machine shop in my garage where I have a paying hobby of making small custom Harley parts. I'm thinking our new a-frame will give me another avenue to explore.

This is what I came up with for the drill adapter for the front jack. It's easily changed out to the handle if needed (no idea as I haven't tried it yet) if necessary using the pto pin to remove and replace either as necessary. I plan to leave them both off and in my tool bag until needed. I made the hex 3/4" as it's the same size as my lug nuts and my leveling jacks.

I REALLY wasn't trying to make it pretty (it's not going on a Harley), but strictly for function. So there are still machining marks on it.... I've still got a bit more cleaning up to do....

Great idea, you planning on selling them at all?

I hadn't considered it although that's what I do with motorcycle parts. Problem is I won't be home much this summer as we're camping. Another issue is the variables on the stem size of the jack, the diameter and location of the hole.

I did try raising and lowering the jack with it (we have an a-frame) and the drill had no problem in either direction....

Update: Worked so well on our trip to the Canadian Maritimes (New Brunswick, PEI and Nova Scotia) and Quebec that I'm taking the quick disconnect off and bolting it on....
