Mod to hold basement door open
I have a 36CKTS, has anybody put a fastener to hold basement door open on street side. I have several ideas, but want to see what others have done to keep this open when windy and need it to stay open.

A stick works for me. Haven't had it fall on my head, yet. But in all honesty I think my lucky days are numbered.

Actually this door swings to the side. I guess there is no reason a stick would not work though. I will be working in there, and the wind slams it against me. More of an annoyance than anything.

Would still put a gas strut on it, if not 2.

have you looked at one of those sticker things that clip the door open? I'll go try to find a pic/catalog - but I know they're a seperate thing you can purchase as I just read a thread on them a week or so ago....

Can you open it the whole way so that it's flat against the camper? If so, you could use those hook things to hold it against the camper.

With everything but the gas struts, you have to latch the door open. With the struts, you just open the door and let turn loose of it. Door open with no additional steps.

I *almost* posted that it's not that big of a hassle. But then I got thinking of the swing up door for my front storage hatch. I have to latch it every time or it lays on my head/back.
SO... I'm siding with you. I just wish I knew why Sabre gave me struts on 2 of my 3 doors. I wonder what's different about this one vs. those that they opted against them.
