More 2701SS Mods

Had the trailer home this weekend, so got some more stuff done.

Added lights to all the storage compartments, one over the dump valve and one just inside the door. Never understand why they don't put an entry light or at least a switch by the entry door. Also added some shelves. Put some dividers in the area under the rear, lower bunk. Added a 5" PVC fence post for sewer hose storage. Also ran the wiring for my FloJet. I also added a 4" memory topper to the front bed. Man, that's just fantastic! Oh, and added a shower curtain liner. Apparently Forest River can only seem to put shower curtains in that are opaque to water.

I bought a great 19" LCD TV at WallyWorld and a cheapo DVD player. Way cool, but we decided space is at a premium so I returned it and we're now looking for a combo unit.

Fixed a couple of warranty items that were easy. New bigger, longer lag bolt on the awning cleat. FIxed the city water inlet (o ring was unseated.

That's about it. Still have to install the digital thermostat. I'll post pics here, but there are many more here:

Not sure if folks prefer pics in the post. If not, let me know and I'll stop.

great mods
Man i like pictures, it shows flks without any link issues just how proud we are of what we can do as smart folks (GOLD STAR)

that is an interesting choice of locations for the outside shower, thats one big COLD air hole. i have insualted mine pretty goos while still allowing warm basement air to get to the back sides of the valves.

Nice Mods!!

Hello,

Nice job on the mods. I appreciate you sharing. I plan on several mods besides the ones already completed on our 2007 Flagstaff 27BHSS.

I plan on adding lights in seveal of the storage compartment, adding shelves similar to the ones that you installed, adding some 12-volt outlets inside of the trailer, replacing the exterior clearance lights with LED lights, and adding a light at the entry door. Have you installed a light at your entry door? Where did you install the switch or have you thought about a location for the switch?

Happy Camping
