I am about to purchase a 2017 Forest River 3011ds. I will be hauling a 7x16 enclosed trailer with Dirt Bikes and lots of tools and parts. Is there a power chip or any modifications I can do to Engine so when I hit the Mountains on the West Coast I won't struggle as much climbing steep inclines?
I'm sure where there is money there is a way, you are aware that any mods will likely void your warranty?

Tow a Honda CRV over coast range (Portland to Seaside and Newport) with 2016 3011DS, V10 Ford chassis. This thing runs up the hills with no problems. Don't think you'll need to do anything.

If you really want an improvement even to the 6 speed, contact five star runing. Have a 2013 351 ds with five speed, best investment I ever made, and for those that talk about warranty void, just check the thousands of posts regarding five star, not a rep, just a very happy customer. I hear they even have a tune for the 6 speed. Just my two cents.
