Moved generator

CW this week is coming along well at installing generator moved from my '06 DayDreamer. Took delivery of new Champagne maybe four weeks ago. New generator box and switchover would take 4-5 weeks to get. We took coach home for a while till parts to arrive. Wrote up list of very minor issues for tech to work on while in for gen install.

After a few problems with a generator install in my DayDreamer 11 years ago I was very specific with my tech who installed my genset in my new Champagne 38EL. He has done a great job.

First off I made sure all fuel and power cables that pass thru holes in body and metal parts were insulated very well to keep vibration from doing harm to cables of fuel lines.

Extended stay tank can be set outside and be feed directly into the low pressure side of inside piping.

I purchased a piece of plywood and a sheet of silverside hard foam insulation and cut both to fit to give me some sound and heat proofing. This shelf gives me storage space above genset box housing.

This photo shows where I tied the extended stay line to the factory piping.

Bottom two photos show where dealer tech tied my genset to factory piping and fastened tee and lines to back wall.

I may look at one of these. Question, would you buy one on eBay? DW does not like to dry camp, but I do and solar will not run a a/c

Does your coach have gen prep and box to house it? There is really a lot of wiring to hook one up. Just buying the generator is a piece of cake. We installed one in the DayDreamer with in a year of purchasing the coach. Wife said I was Krazy to spend that much. Our first trip out west we stopped a lot to rest, get a nap, eat, etc. Would krank it up and fire up a/c and snooze. She now lives it. To us a generator is more important than the krapper.
