I agree with you too. The only time my tv is on during the day is in the fall and football is on, but I do try to prepare if we have a heavy downpour. My kids only watch tv when they are in their bunks getting ready for bed. So, rather than work out DVD players in their bunks and such. I worked on the Ravpower system with mp4 movie files. It works and most of the time I don’t even hook up the cable. Unless it is football season.

Don't get me wrong; I have a TV in my rig and will watch the occasional show or catch the news and the weather forecast after everyone turns in, but I'm there to mostly enjoy the local scenery, a campfire and good conversation with friends, not get absorbed in a movie.
I have to laugh at “all you people” who automatically jump to conclusions about what other people do in their RV just because YOUR only experience in one is as a weekend warrior and you think that’s what everyone else does too.

We live in our RV fulltime on the road and constantly get to see new places, explore new landscapes, and enjoy nature. We boondock 98% of the time in all different landscapes, all year long, so we get PLENTY of good outdoor time. MUCH more than the occasional weekend warrior campers such as yourself thank you very much Trust me, you wouldn’t just sit by the campfire every single night and never watch movies if you did this 365 days a year.

One of my favorite things to do is take my RV to the backwoods in the middle of nowhere and set up the TV outside and watch live NASCAR and/or football. Best of both worlds!!!

If you setup two you can watch them both at the same time! Plus you can use your outside speakers while leaving all your scare lights on! LOL

I’m hoping you get a lot of use out of that satellite dish. That’s an investment! I can’t say I would consider satellite as an option for me with all the other streaming and over the air content for entertainment available. I do understand if your full timing, a dish is a good option that doesn’t require a tower/data.

Can you remove the dish if you have to place it far from your rig to get a signal? I’ve seen this a lot while traveling around.
