I attached smoked plexiglass with Velcro to prevent the dog from scratching the screen.

Did similiar application when the kids were very young to keep them from poking through the screen & falling down the steps

We taught our dog to not touch the screen with anything but her noise. Works great and was very easy to do and cheap!

Wish I could teach our dogs to only use their "noise" to touch the screen. Ours just use their nose. OldCoot is a much better dog trainer than I.

You can train a dog to do about anything.
Max is slowly learning how much "daddy" likes "cold ones .....

Addi rings a bell to go outside.

Our dogs don't touch the screen either.

We have have collars that suggest against barking and screen pushing.

Old age strikes again, but she will also bark (noise) at the screen door

I want to do this to our screen door, but I'm looking for an alternate way to attach it. I'm thinking the glass place can attach some sort of channel that the Lexan can slide down in to. Or, those clear plastic holders/tabs (that swivel) that I've seen on old mirrors to mount them to dressers, etc.

FR should come up with a storm door upgrade/option.

Edited to add; Fred has never touched the screen door that we can tell. I just want it for outside views with a door closed.
