Has "white". It is all the leds on at the same time making white.

It is pretty bright.
Herk

Did this set include an AC adapter to plug right into an extension cord? It's not mentioned in the eBay link. Thanks

No. As I mentioned in post 77, it just has the wiring pigtail you will need to wire it to a 12 volt "wall wart" of your own, just make sure you get the polarity right.

I suppose it might but why?
You would never get any light out of it.
The LEDs would be inside the roller.
Look at the photo. Those LEDs are stuck to the wall.
The strip has a sticky back tape on it.

You can get plenty of light out of them. Mine is on the roller rail and I got plenty of light from it.

Understood, but that is how the OP has them on and they look awesome. Lights up his lounge area pretty well IMO.

Just curious, I didnt want to order that set just to find out it would not mount like the OP's set. I like the direct option of white on the link you posted, Herk, but I want it to be more ambient/indirect lighting like the OP's. I would think that when you go into or look at the camper at night that those LED's above the door might be a bit blinding. Any word there, Herk? or do they not shine enough directly at you as you come up to the door? Just weighing the options

I lost them when the computer ate my camera chip. It was going to rain so I took the controller down. I am camping this weekend and will shoot some night shots friday night.

There are two buttons on the remote in the upper left hand corner of a little "sun" with an arc on top (on one button) and below the sun (on the other one). Those buttons will dim or brighten the LEDs.

Someone please help! So I ran a red and black wire up the awning arms with the wire for the awning motor. Cut the plug off the 110v power supply and connected them to the wires I ran down the arms. Ran the wire in where the awning motor wire goes in to my front storage. Now I've tried to tap into the front storage light. I assume one is power and one is ground? Either way, I can't get the lights to work. Anyone have any ideas what I'm doing wrong? Like I said I'm not an electrical genius.....

Disregard, I figured it out. And it's pretty swanky if I say so myself!

Attachment 13971

This is where the wires are
I see the transformer on the hood of your truck. When you cut the plug off were you able to figure out which wire was 12 volt hot and which one was 12 volt ground?

DC Polarity is critical as hooking it up backwards can destroy the controller if there is no internal protection for that eventuality.

I also looked at the wires on your basement light. One red and one white goes up the arm correct? The red wire (also black to the light itself) is the hot one and should be connected to the red wire in the plug you cut off to maintain correct polarity.

Also the 4 pin socket MUST be plugged in with the two arrows on the connector lined up. There is a warning in the paper that came with the unit that plugging the LED strip in reversed can short circuit the strip.

Do you have a meter? Can you verify there is 12 volts inside the plug when measured from the inside to the outside of the barrel.

Also check how you plugged in the socket that the arrows are lined up (hard to see on the black one but it is there).

Good Luck
