Are those factory mounted or did you add them?

Remote - No battery https://www.forestriverforums.com/forums/images/smilies/eek.gif

Hi

I just received my 5M 300 LED 5050 Waterproof RGB SMD Flexible Lamp Strip Light +44 Key IR Remote but the remote didn't have a battery. Can someone tell what size battery (volt) goes inthe remote? Assume Radio Shack is the place to by a battery.

Thanks

I just tooked the camper to the storage and the remote is inside. I belive is one of the cr 2025 3v battery, or just take the remote to wally world or any elec. stores.
this is in my papers for the lights:
"Remote controller battery: 1 x CR2025 (Included)"

Thanks for the reply Camping Buddie - I thought it might be that size. I'm off to Wally World tomorrow to get a new one.

I was just at Home Depot and they now carry the GGB Waterproof LED strips

The one at Home Depot has the 24 key controller and is only 3m long for $80.
VS.
The Chinese suppliers that have the 44 key controller and are 6m long for only $28.

Camping Buddys,
The LED's look nice. Did the factory run them through the awning power hole like many of us did here to connect to a 12V power supply? Did they use an RF or IR controller?
As far as the awning rail leak...It is probably the gutter up there. You just need to put a dab of decor in the rain gutter and smooth it with a putty knife to contour the gutter so the water will still run with out the gutter filling up.
TIA,
crunchman

x2...CR2025 is the correct battery.

While you are buying batteries, the remote battery for the "lazy man's" awning control is weird too. Gold Peak A27 /27A 12 volt Alkaline Battery

Thanks for the awning tip crunchman,
The "factory" was in my driveway, the leds lights are the 5050 Ebay ones.
I like the way it looks, my wife thought that they look better in the awning (at the end)
So, to keep her happy, i ordered another set today. (Great excuse for it)lol
Need o wait for the rain to stop to fix the awning leaks, thanks again for the tip.

No problem on the tip. I looked at your year and model this morning when another poster asked if they where a factory install. The specs I had looked at said they came standard. Sorry for the mix up.
Did you use the power awning power hole to wire to 12V. Looks like a clean install so I suspect you did?
Great job BTW
PS. Happy wife is a happy life. (even though you already had plans on the 2nd set. I still need my second set but need her to need them 1st. Good job!)

My camper was build in May 2012, and did not come with the lights.
I just did the lights and left the power for another day, was raining a lot.
But i think will leave them like that and just connect the power supply at the campground, did that last night and it look good. Did put a velcro in the wall next to the 4 pin connector to hold the power supply and will run a ext cord to the camper.(for now) no need to make any holes or mess with the awning power, (no too handy with that) will see how the lights work this summer, we have a week long trip to Pirateland in July to test them!
