Plastic cable channel

I would like to do something similar.
I used a plastic cable channel that I got at HD.. First you mount the base of the channel, run the wires then snap the top on the channel...

Adony did post a picture. That is what got me interested in what Adony used to cover the wires. Check Adony's post --> post #1243.

I am guessing this is the channel used (or similar) but I will let Adony confirm. http://www.homedepot.ca/product/wire...c-white/911710

New set led's

We had planned to mount a new set of LED's to replace the ones installed elarlier this summer. What with all the rain we have had over the past month, that has proven to be almost impossible. The coach is covered and has not seen the sunshine now in almost a month. With that said, I may be installing LED's when we arrive at Goshen. The ones on there are fine, just wanted to move them up under the awning a little higher and out of the weather in case we get rain going up in two weeks:

We have not installed our awning lights yet either LKicklight! I am so bummed! Too much going on that seems more important! Maybe we can help each other get them installed while in Goshen! Heck we will finally have a week to have fun!

You bring some of those Key Lime Cup Cakes, good Lord, I will fly to the moon. Planning on bringing my latter, know we can count on TRUB and OLD COOT for some added supervision.

Oh my gosh those were sooooo yummy!! I might be talked into making more! I better make sure our propane tanks are topped off for Goshen! Hee! I just hope I have all the necessary supplies on hand for the install! Yeah I am sure we can get OC and Turbs to stand still next to each other long enough to supervise!

A friend of ours at church, who is also an outstanding cook & wine maker, made a Key Lime Cake a few weeks ago for our picnic, oh my God, I have her receipt for the cake....sure would enjoy making one of those to take with us. Right now I am baby sitting a new kitten that DW brought home last night. Out 16 pound male does not seem to like the little girl, afraid he may take her head off if left alone. Here we were wondering what to do with him while we are gone?

I see everyone is using the 5050 lights but what guage wire are you using to get the power to them and what is the length of the wire run? I would like to get the 5050 lights but worried about the amp/current draw and would use about a 40ft piece of 18awg wire. Looks like they draw around 6 amps for 5 meters.

I used some 18/4 wire (underground sprinkler wire) to go from the lights to the control box. My run is only about 12-15 ft though, just enough to go down the awning and inside to the basement where the control box is. Where are you running them from/to that would require a 40ft. run of wire? Just sounds like a really long run.

Well I guess it's only going to be about 30 feet I'm running from the fuse box at the close to the rear of the camper to the front and out where the power goes out for the awning. I may just run from the the battery and put a fuse there if needed to keep wire length down

Wasn't sure how I was going to mount them. At first I thought I would put a Velcro strip on the awning tube and another on the light strip. That didn't work since the Velcro wouldn't stick to the LED strip. After looking at the strip lights I thought It looked like they would fit in the rail on the awning. Well they did! And better yet, they will roll up right in the awning. Take a look, I can get some closer pictures of them in the daylight tomorrow.
I would love some pics...How did you attach electric?

I just ordered wire, waterproof connectors and an RF controller from usledsupply.com. So now hopefully it will be a self contained unit that will always be hooked up. I also moved it from the awning tube to the side of the camper on the awning rail.

Led's

Due to the overwhelming demand for these LED Awning lights, I am bringing an extra set just in case someone might want to install some while we all are there. These are the 16'-0/300 LED Ribbon Strip with controller and AC/DC Power Supply. Just in Case
kickstarter

We just got back from camping and I noticed that I have a very slight problem. On one of the light clusters the green LED is not lighting up, red and blue work but just not the green. Its only the one light, about 7 from the cut end of my strip. Has anyone had this issue before? Does anyone have any idea what happen or if I can fix it?
