My version of antifreeze bypass

So I ruined my water pump threads last fall installing my line to draw antifreeze into the system after the water tank. I looked at the few options that are out there and they seemed chinsey, cheap, and looked to reduce the water flow substantially. After some research I found a brass webstone ball valve that is 1/2" in and out that does the exact same thing with no flow restrictions. The end you would draw antifreeze with is garden hose thread. Here is the web link if anyone cares to copy this.

Don't understand how that is any different than this. $13.59 at Walmart and no restriction on the water flow. I chose not to run the pink stuff through the strainer.

The valve i installed is 1/2" end to end all the way through. The style i seen that you have is reduced under 1/2" on the inside. Plus I do plumbing work as a job and thought it was pretty cool.
