New Entry Door Lock

Hello All,
I installed a new RVLOCK V4.0 - RIGHT HAND W/ INTEGRATED KEYPAD FOR RV'S
for our entry door. I am very impressed with how much bigger and more robust the new lock is compared to the OEM lock. Simple installation, simple programming, and works great. Our OEM lock was already not working properly, and I took it apart and cleaned it, but that did not help. I am thinking of replacing the compartment locks with RVLocks keyless locks for them too. Has anyone tried those yet? Another locks out there? I also installed a screen door grab bar. That was a no brainer. Looking at replacing my thermostat next. I'm researching them now. Any thoughts?

I also am very pleased with my RVLock. I changed out the compartment doors, and am pleased with those but others have less expensive solutions that seem just as good as discussed in this thread:

Hope that helps.

Skip thanks for the info. It is like $160 difference, per lock. Thank you I like the looks of those barrel locks. It does help. Appreciate the response.

One caution on the RVLock V4 door handle. My 5er has a Dexter door with friction hinges. I installed the V4 door handle and couldn’t get the screen door to latch to the main door. In order to get it to latch, you have to grind off a bit of the black plastic on the handle. Others here confirmed they found the same thing. I honestly felt the RVLock handle wasn’t quite as well built as the OEM handle on the Dexter door and it just barely covered the hole in the main door. So I ended up returning it for a refund. Customer service was great.

RVLock Cargo door locks

We purchased an RVLock electronic lock and loved the security it provided. We "bit the bullet" and purchased the cargo door keyed locks (not electronic) with keys that matched our electronic lock. I have to say, the convenience and security they provide is reassuring. Simply knowing that there are hundreds of key combinations versus a handful of OEM key combinations out there gives peace of mind.

Thank you itat, and kermit for your replies. I did order barrle locks for our compartment doors after Skip gave me a link to an older thread to read through. I still want to say thank you for replying to me.
