Outside grill

Has anyone converted the supplied outside grill that quick connects to the campers propane system to a stand alone bottle? If so what is involved?

Your connection at the camper is low pressure an stand bottle will provide high pressure you will need to add a regulator if you want to use the grill with a bottle.

probably can use a replacement hose with regulator for gas grill. Fittings are pretty standard.

I thought the OEM grill was the biggest disappointment I've ever experienced in a grill and after the first use put it back in the bag and tucked it away to never use again.

This model \/

So what I did was buy a CampChef Explorer 160 2 burner stove and the Grill Box 30 14" where it actually gets sear marks on your steak and cooks it properly. It uses infrared heat to cook, not flames.

That OEM grill was garbage IMO.

All this can be run by a stand alone bottle or if you want like I did, ditch the stove hose (which had a regulator) and do a mod to tie into the trailer supply, where you don't need to get a regulator.
