Outside rv mount ?’s

I would like to mount a removable outside tv bracket, probably a 32” tv so not extremely heavy, Under the canopy maybe above the hot water heater vent ? - advice please, what do I seal it with ? Certainly don’t want it to pull the side panel - thanks in advance

To seal it use butyl tape all on the surfaces that contact the wall. Get the thinnest you can (1/8” or less). It’s the same stuff they seal the windows with. Then caulk the top of both mounting flanges (may be tough to get into the bottom one).

However, the larger issue is the structure its mounted to. Given its size and mounting holes I suspect you may only hit one ‘stud’, which may be enough. In that case only the center holes are used lessening the potential for water ingress. But if not strong enough to support the weight, consider a couple of strips of ¼ thick aluminum flat stock (available from Home Depot). Mount them horizontally and cut long enough to span 2 studs. Again, use butyl tape. Drill and tap them (prior to mounting) for the mounting holes of the TV base, centered between the studs. You may have to cut the bolts since they will be short. And if leaving the base attached to the rails, use Loctite to preclude having it fall off while on the road.

Or just place the TV on a small table or TV tray like some of us do

I made my bracket from tubular square from Home Depot and attached the bracket to it. Used the screws from my furnace plate to mount to RV. The bracket stays on all the time 4 years now no issues

I had that originally it was on for 2 months when I took it off I had 2 round circles within the skin from the suction cups took about 6 months for the circles to disappear

I have a mount similar to this on my camper. I have never used it but it should be easy to mount/remove the TV at the campsite

It's small, very sturdy, even has a bubble level built-in. We just had to locate where FR installed a backer board (plywood) in the wall to ensure it was solid then used RV sealant (like silicone but made for RV) for the screw holes. We use it with our 40" tv. It's an LED tv so they are light by nature.
