Paw adapter
Does an adapter exist to allow the tv to sit several inches higher so the bottom of my tv can clear the top of the mantle? The tv will set into the paw mount but will not seat all the way down since its hitting the mantle. If there is an adapter for the vesa mount on the tv to move it down a few inches it should clear. Any tips much appreciated.

You need to contact PAW International.

Is there no way to move the wall mount side up a few inches?

Depending on the layout of the TV mounting holes you may be able to use a mount like this to raise it up on the paw adaptor:
Amazon
Parts Express Universal TV Mount Adapter Plate VESA 200 to 300 x 300, 300 x 200, or 300 x 100

Unscrew mount...move up a couple inches...screw back in. Should be enough backer board behind it to move it up a couple inches.

How thick is the backer board? Im trying to keep the factory female mount on the wall in position. That faux wall seems paper thin, are there studs in there?

You could probably remove the mount from the TV, then mount a piece of plywood to the TV using the threaded mounting holes, then attach the PAW to the plywood in a lower spot. I did a similar mod to one of my rv's......Bruce

It does its similar to the one cdj1990 mentioned however the holes in the plate are different dims than the male paw at 100x100. They're wider and for what i dont know.

Ive seen that before, how thick was the plywood? Its either that or drilling new holes into the adapter plate possibly.

It was a few years ago, but I'm sure it was 1//2 or maybe 5/8. I actually made a mount that attached to a cabinet door. Pretty sure I used blue lock tight on the screws attaching the plywood to the TV.....Bruce

The backer board in my TT is 24" x 24" I removed the PAW mount and installed a metal swivel mount.
No way was I going to trust a 41" TV on the little piece of plastic.

Any issues with the swivel mount? What length screws did you use?
