Power awning

My power awning goes straight out on a horizontal plane. Wish I could have it slant to produce more shade.
Anyone have an idea on how to modify?
I'm thinking I might be able to drop the lower hinge point. Think that might work?

Our electric awning can be tilted down by compressing each strut (one at a time) and tightening the plastic knobs to keep it in place. Just pull down on the awning aluminum "arm" to compress the strut.

Youroo, you have it correct .
No knobs anywhere on this awning.
So, anyone have an idea how this could be modified to open at a slant?

The only way I know is a Sun Shade in the Roller Tube, and you will probably need a Step Ladder to insert the Screen! And there would be NO Slant for Rain Water Runoff! Youroo!!

You never said what awning you have. If it is an early A&E (Dometic) awning they came without an adjustment but have a kit to make the change to the adjustable arms (maybe no charge). If not an A&E don't know.

If you have a Solera (Lippert) electric awning, it has no knobs.
You just pull down the arm on whichever end you want it to slant, or both to lower the tube and block more sun.
A brisk breeze will unslant it though.
Rain water weight will auto tilt it to drain.

I have an a & e awning! It has the automatic dump feature on the end towards the rear! I made a hand screw I could lock the dump slot down with! If this it what you are looking for let me know! I can show mine and give you a drawing of what I did!
