You do not need to even remove the power head just grease the tap.
holes are pre drilled
5/16 is the tap size. if you don't have a well versed hardware just pull one bolt take it with you

rotating head

My model is FIC model. Has series of bolts around the edge of jack head, not two bolts that many are showing.

Just came in from trying to rotate a Ram 3500 power jack on a 2109 Rockwood Mini Lite 2104s. No go the holes don’t line up at all for a 90 degree turn either way. Two will line up if you want to go past 90 degrees but then you hit the propane tank cover. The motor is secured in place with four bolts mounted to the assembly which is welded in place. So I don’t think that’s an opinion either. So no tailgate opening for now.

We have an FCI - 2019 and I found a video there showing how to rotate the head, 2 screws, no rubber plugs, and you will need a 5/16 - 18 Tap for 2 of the holes, which are already there !!!

Did some careful measurements yesterday. By rotating my power jack I gain 2-21/2". Unfortunately, I need 4-5", best I can tell. I suspected as much because the truck tailgate would rest on the previous manual jack ;(
Question for those where rotating the jack/jack head provided enough clearance. What is the width of your TT? Mine is considered a narrow and that might be what affects the jack position relative to the ball coupler.

I believe 2 - 2 1/2 " is enough for most of us ???
4 to 5" is a very large amount !!!

Been bitchin' about shipping at Jack-E-Up. Just checked there and it was FREE SHIPPING! Made it worthwhile, I had to get the $91.50 heavy duty round base for my Husky Brute power jack. This is the removable jack base company.

Not an answer for everyone.. but for the ford owners who have the step that pops out of the tailgate.. I simply pull the step out about 1/2 way.. so it still stays straight.. I can open my tailgate fully that way..

just make sure to close it before driving off.. .I suspect it would do a number to the power head of the jack

My tailgate has the step built in. Need to try this. Assume the step fits between the jack head and propane tanks. Thanks for the info

It does with mine.. I have a Vnose & an F350.. but i suspect the frame on the Vnose is the same as on regular "flat front" trailers.. My tanks are inside the Vnose & the step sits just above the batteries behind the power jack..
You don't have to pull your step all the way out, meaning not to the point where the step goes to actual step up position
