Put in hide a bed couch

I have been wanting to take out the jack knife bed in my 2013 Salem and put in a hide a bed couch. I think I have found one but I have also been considering buying a hide a bed from local furniture not from rv. My concern is about the weight. Is there anyone that has replaced their jack knife sofa with regular hide a bed? If it is not really an rv couch will a home hide a bed weigh to much? Thanks

Hi - I replaced a jack knife RV couch with a nice leather futon, thinking the RV couch was heavier. It was on my last TT, KZ Spree 26RB

I was about to post a similar question. The previous owners took out the heavy sleeper sofa and left a cheap lightweight desk and a cheap lightweight sofa. I replaced the cheap sofa with a leather Futon on a metal frame - It weighed probably 150 pounds. Now I added a decent desk that weighs probably 75 pounds. I swear, my slide is slanting and the addition of the desk made my previously balanced RV slide-out side heavy so it's not level anymore. I'm a little concerned. I know RV sofas weigh between 200 lbs and 400 lbs. And the dinette that was in here was at least another 100 lbs. especially with the storage area filled. How do I find out how much weight I can put on the slide???
