Rain gutter help

Hey all

2021 Sunseeker 2250LE

The rain gutters feed into the traditional trough that dumps the water 3-4 inches away from the RV, cool so far

My issues is, the dump is directly above both cab doors so when the doors are open, it floods the inside door panel, handle and window/door lock electronics

If I open the door up to just before the flood, we can't get in/out of the cab

Where the diverter is, it's right at the point where the roof transitions to the front cap over the cab

Any ideas to keep things dry?

Rick

I have not heard of this problem before of the doors being flooded. I would think you would have to leave the door open in the rain for this to happen. With that said you might consider taking the existing drain blocking the exit and moving the drain aft behind the door. May take a little cutting and gluing of the gutter and drain but should solve your problem. JMHO

Here is a pic of the diverter right above the door, doesn't take much rain for that thing to have a steady stream of water and once that door is open, left arm, door all soaked

I'll look to see if I can move it aft as you suggested

That pic is hilarious thank you. This would be amazing when your stationary but my issue is when I get in and out of the RV getting gas or on the road when you get in and out

RV rain gutter spouts

many to choose from

cut in a new one, and block the old one

certainly a poor design... someone in production should have noticed that

Amazon has J - Molding that can divert water. We used it over the window where the A/C water kept dripping down.
