Reinforce the floor for long term usage?

Hello,

I have a new Puma 12FBX ultra lite travel trailer. I am going to be living in for the next 8 months or so.

I have scissor jacks on all four corner to stabilize it.

I was wondering if it would be okay if I did something to further support the actual floor underneath to keep it from weakening over the months from just walking on it all the time.

I was thinking a couple of 2x10's and some jack stands or something like up up under the trailer in between the floor beams?

Is that good thinking or am I missing something?

Seems unnecessary to me.

I've been walking around in my trailer almost every single weekend between April and October for the last 10 years and have never had an issue with the floor weakening.

X2. Unless there is water damage or something else, I wouldn't worry about the floor weakening. Keep your stabilizers down and periodically check to make sure they're snug to the ground to account for settling.

Just reminds me of my Grandfather every time he bought a new car he put seat covers on it......just in case........ what it ended up when he got ready to trade the new owner got like new seats............. but that last car was a 1967 Plymouth.

My concern for the OP is the weight added but I am sure it will be intended to sit in one place.

Oh I am the Grandfather now ..... Grandpa would be 124 now if he lived that long..........

I wouldn't do it. If something settles there could be stress on the floor where it shouldn't be.

You're making me feel old now. I'm the grandfather, but figured out just yesterday that my father would be 114 now if he were still living.

You may want to consider getting some concrete blocks for support. Using bloks instead of the stabilizers will do a better job. Set the frame on the blocks. I suggest this only because you said you would be stationary for an extended period. No need to reinforce the floors.
