RV Furniture
Hey all, I have a Solaire 247 RKES and I'm thinking about changing out the couch in the living room for two recliners. The kids are off and gone to college so it's just the wife and I. Ideas on where to buy new furniture and is this a good idea? Thoughts....

I would go to a good furniture store, they sell the same size recliners the RV has but for a cheaper price than RV furniture. Our Surveyor has factory recliners and they don't work right, the dealer has ordered replacement recliners from the manufacturer.
Make sure yo can take the back off so they can get in the TT door.

Go to a Lazy Boy store. Their Impulse line is great for RVs.
Lazy Boys are not cheap, but they will last forever, and are extremely comfortable. Also, the backs remove in an instant for easy transporting and taking up very little space while underway, and for fitting through the door. They make them in different widths, rockers, recliners, rocker recliners etc.

On order, 2 Lazy Boy, power wall hugger recliners to replace our theater recliner. Not cheap. but the Lazy Boy love seat currently in our 5er is 10 years old and looks new.

I'll toss my vote in for the Lay-Z-Boy recliners. We walked in, found the light color (tan) we wanted, the backs are removable to allow easy entry into the rig, we bought two, tossed the sofa from the Rig to a friend and bam... two of the most comfy recliners... love them. We went with rocking recliners, not wall away... Its just what we liked, we don't mind pulling them away from the wall a bit.
Good luck!

My vote for lazy boy as well. We swapped the wrap-around couch for reclining theater seats. Much more comfortable.

I have a pair of La-Z-Boy recliners about to be delivered. Wondering if I need to do anything special to secure them during travel. Had the standard hide-a-bed sofa taken out. There is nothing currently in the trailer to use as a restraint. In my trailer, there is a fair amount of open space in front of where the chairs will be even with the slide closed.
TIA.

I picked up a furniture strap from my local dealer for about 7$. two quick screws into the floor, in an out of the way spot and boom, neither chair moves in transit. I think Amazon has them as well, but I wanted to be sure so just picked up local.
