RV Washer/Dryer Warranty Voided?

I did a search and couldn't come up with any older posts on the forum about this. I recall reading or hearing from someone a while ago that if you add a washer/dryer setup to your RV and its located behind the axles, the appliance warranty is voided immediately. Not sure if this is dependent on the brand, or if it encompasses all brands.

This may have been something those appliance companies used to do, but recently changed their policies regarding this.

We'd love to have this setup in our RV, but the prep area is in the very back of the rig. Consequently, I never would even consider installing these because of the location for it in our fiver.

Appreciate anything y'all can share with me on this!

That's something I've not heard of but I'll be watching this thread.

We've recently been R/V shopping and all of our considerations have W/D hook-ups behind the axles.

Yes, please let me know if I was given bad information, but I recall hearing this from more than one source a while ago. I never gave a washer/dryer upgrade a consideration when we bought what we currently have because of this info that was shared with me. We would opt to install them if the warranty is not voided with our present fiver.

I did some google searches and found a Jayco owners site where a post mentions this warranty limitation too, but have yet to find any other confirming information on this.

It may be that specific brands have this limitation, or maybe it depends on if its a combo unit, or if its vented versus non-vented.

Thought I should add another piece of info I failed to originally mention about this warranty limitation. From what I was told, the reason stated for the limitation by the manufacturers is because the rear of the coach gets more wear and tear and vibration transferred to it from road conditions while towing.

How much more wear and tear is transferred to that portion of the RV than locations from the axles towards the front I can't say with any degree of certainty. But, I do recall hearing if those appliances are installed anywhere from the axles to the nose of the RV, there's no warranty problem.

To me, this doesn't make sense, especially if you have a floorplan that includes a rear kitchen with residential fridge and other major appliances.
