Satellite and Receivers

I'm buying a satellite and receiver today. I can't spend a ton of money, but would like an automatic satellite, but I'll need two receivers. What combo do you all recommend?

Automatic, as in... finds the satellites once parked - or - tracks the satellites going down the road?

Two channels at once, automatic to find single quickly once parked, don't need it for driving. I don't know about Sea Dogs question.

DISH Tailgater Winegard Pathway X2 are the only "automatic" signal-finding satellites that I'm aware of (I'm a DISH and DirecTV retailer).

You can purchase the equipment and then sign up for programming or you can get the DISH equipment with a pay-as-you-go package.

Check out Dish Network receiver like VIP 211z with a Pathway X2. Total about $550 for two receivers and Pathway X2 antenna Dish.

Both dish and direct offer a form of receiver that supports a wireless slave. Dish calls it a hopper and joey. Direct calls it a genie and mini genie. Dish can use a portable dome and still get hd. Direct needs an open oval dish to get hd. Both will cost you about the same $$. Both will give you the equipment for a service commitment. Cost is about the same for both services. Direct usually offers better sports packabes.

Have a 2017 Cardinal 3250 and a winegard G2+ portable satellite antenna. Anyone know how I connect it from outside sat port to receiver inside?
Thanks

"Scotrod106": Hope this helps you. We, the DISH tech and I, could not get my new DISH turbo antenna to work by hooking the cable up to the outside port of the TT when I bought my system. We disconnected the cable from the amplifier at the TV thinking we were using a direct connection with the outside port but that did not work either. We ran a dedicated cable from the dish to the receiver and all worked well. Somewhere between the factory outside port and the end of the cable that was attached to the amplifier there is something that will not allow the dish signal to the receiver. I later added another outside port for the dedicated cable to the receiver and this is where I place my cable from the satellite dish. I'm using the DISH Turbo satellite dish and the Wally receiver on one TV and it works very well.

I got a Hopper and a Joey this week for my Park Model. I wanted to get a Tailgater so I could have Sat. TV in my RV and use my Hopper. The sales person said I could do the Hopper & the Tailgater in my RV. The installer came to put my home unit in, said the tailgater doesn't with this system. He said I need to get a Wally to go with the tailgater or use a manual antenna. The Wally adds $7 / month or do I for go manual ant.? Any way around this?

Elind....if you were a little closer, I'd stretch a cable over and you'd be home free...

On most rigs, using outside park cable connection for a carryout Satellite requires a simple modification to the plate where the booster is, so you can jumper around it when needed. http://www.forestriverforums.com/for....php?p=1344198
.....if this copy paste works there will be a picture here.
