I like the magnet idea so I looked through the comments after the video and only saw "cup magnets" mentioned - but no size or part numbers. Looking on Amazon, there are lots of them available but most seem to be fairly large - roughly 1 1/4" diameter and 1/4" thick. That would be too large for our door.

Anyone seen smaller versions?

See if this link works. If not go to lee valley .com.
Look for rare earth magnets cupped.
I used the 3/8 and the 3/4 sizes.

I used the 5/8" for the small ones and 1" for the large one..also from leevalley. I may change to the smaller one(3/4") instead of the 1" because I have to put a small piece of rubber on it to keep it from being too hard to pull open.

Here's the hack we have lived with for 5 years without a problem. Total cost is probably $2.50ish. The real hard part is drilling 2 holes, buying a nite-eyes #1 s-biner, plus finding an ink pen barrel to become a pull handle. I'll just let the pictures save me the write-up...Click image for larger version

The round piece has a tab on the outside that engages the latch handle as you press down.

Not sure if you notice you don't have to open the sliding panel to open the screen door just push down on the panel round handle and the screen door will open.
That would be awesome if all campers had that piece. A lot of ours don't.

Has anybody ever seen the Lippert model with the round piece in a 12"x11.5" size? I notice it is only available in the 12x9.75...

Our 2011 35k has the plastic knob on the slider door, but it's in the centre and the lever is too far below that to be effective. So it's slide open, unlatch, open door and hope to remember to slide shut. I like the magnet idea.....
