Scuba's Modified Modifications

Ok, had to get the thread ready. Did my bike Rack mod last week after a horrible experice. Tonight will install the electric tongue jack and hopefully take some photos.

No photo's of the bike rack? Or was it just a
standard one that does not need explaination.

He said he was going to install the electric tongue jack and then hopefully take some photos.

I think he was just getting us in the "zone" for his mods.

I have a Spare tire mount Bike rack. Pretty standard. What is not standard is the el cheapo pin/ubolts FR uses. Anyway...driving down the road, the bracket began to break the weld, and bend....bikes were almost laying flat. Anyways.....Had to heat the bracket, reshape it, then Drilled a 5 " 3/8" hole through the center of the bracket and through the bumper. Put a case hardened bolt there. Replace the pin with a case hardened bolt as well. Replaced the cast ubolts with stainless. Now it's strong and rigid and will not wiggle, bend, shake, vibrate........etc.

Got the jack installed, took like 10 minutes. Works like a champ. Will take photos this weekend while camping.
