Sewer Stack

I am going to install the 360 siphon sewer cap to my black water vent stack. When I got on the roof I noticed that I also have a grey water vent. How do I know which one is which? Not looking forward to this but, would I be able to "smell" which one is which?

Thank you for the replies. I ended up figuring out which one was which with the dreaded "smell test". My grey tank was empty and black tank was about 1/2 full so that being said I figured it out real quick.

I originally bought the Cyclone from Camping World and it was BOGO and on sale for $21.49 but, when I got up on the roof I discovered they would not work because my roof wasn't flat. I have a barrel roof so I returned them for a 360 Siphon I only bought one because my only issue was with the toilet when we flushed. Never had an issue with the grey tank smell. I am a little skeptical that it will work for my issue if it does then I might just go ahead install one on the grey tank.

If the issue is only when you flush, and the fan is on, the only thing that will help is to kill the fan before you flush then when the flush valve is closed again turn the fan back on.

Also have seen the "stack"
1) slip back into the tank allowing it to be covered up after the tank reaches a certain point .
And
2) the stack was to long and sticking to far into the tank also getting covered up at a certain point of the tank filling.

We have learned to turn the fan off prior to flushing, but the smell is there still just not as bad. My wife has the issue with the smell when the toilet is flushed it doesnt bother me too much. It is not a huge issue if this does not work. I am hoping it does work to make camping more pleasant if doesn't work it is not going to stop us from camping. I will know next week if it works we are going on a 7 day trip.

I hadn't thought of the sloped roof problem. Our roof is very sloped too (front-to-back), so I guess I'd have the same issue with the Cyclone.
Could the bottom flange not be tilted to match the slope of the roof ?

However from looking at the photos of the 360 Siphon it looks like it has a fairly large flange that's designed to screw down into a flat roof too.
Wouldn't that have the same issue with a sloped roof ?

Just answered my own question by watching Camco's installation video. Looks like the bottom flange should be adjustable to handle even a fairly significant slope, but I guess not enough for your barrel roof.

My concern with the cyclone and the slopped roof was the fact that is designed to spin in the wind and that it would not every spin freely due to the weight of the unit it appeared it would always rest on the low side. My other concern went I got it home was having to seal around the outside of the flange where the flange and the cyclone meet and the roof and where the sewer pipe penetrates through the roof. Too many places where a leak could occur. Since there are no moving parts on the 360 siphon there were no issues there and I also like that it was a one piece design and installed very similar to the factory vent.
