Update on the shower mod....

Currently on a week long trip. At our first stop, water pressure at the CG was ok. I don’t have a pressure regulator so I don’t know exactly what the pressure was but it was adequate. Took first shower and tested out all the settings. Rain head was weak in pressure but seemed to have adequate flow. Body jets and hand held sprayer had good pressure. Took a longer than normal shower playing with all the settings and did not run out of hot water. [emoji3]

Second stop had much better water pressure. Rain head pressure was nice. With the higher water pressure, I did start to notice hot water running out after about 8-9 minutes. Body jets and hand held pressures were really strong.

With freezing temperatures we were forced to fill our fresh tank and run off the pump. Hand held was adequate but rain head was too weak. So, an upgraded water pump would be in order if you camp without hookups.

All in all, very happy with the shower.

That rainhead may have a flow restrictor in the threaded connection. You could probably remove it and get better flow when the water pressure is low.

First thing I checked before installed. Didn’t have one. I think the head has too many spouts

In some of those shower walls the flow restrictor is in the selector valve. Makes them a lot harder to remove.

I'm in love!!! I was so sad about the shower situation in an RV, but you have made me smile. I will be purchasing new RV in the next few months and will have room to do something like this and currently use a 6" shower head. Many thanks!!!!

As a follow up to the shower tower mod, today I installed a Girard tankless water heater. Now, everyone can take a long hot shower without worrying about using up all the hot water

Nice install video on the Girad tankless unit!

Does anyone know what that black mastic is they use to seal around the rubber gas line? I need to drop my gas line and replace it and will need to reseal it again?
