Simple Mods In Flagstaff

Here are some pictures of some of the Mods I've done to our Flagstaff 831FKBSS. 1st picture is the replacement of the factory installed water filter with a GE Smart water system. This filter has a bypass handle to make winterization easier. 2nd photo shows the installation of a "T" valve between the water storage tank and the pump. Picture shows the tube that sucks the anti freeze out of the bottle mounted on the T. This T valve sucks the anti freeze out of the bottle and the entire Trailer can be winterized with 1-1/2 gallons. 3rd picture is of the sissor jacks that I mounted in place of the factory installed jacks. The 4th and picture is of a piece of 4"PVC that can house either a clothes drying rack or spare sewer hose. 5th picture is the mount on the bumper of the TT for the drying rack. The mount is a flagpole holder held to the bumper with some worm clamps and the drying rack is made of 1-1/4 pvc with aluminum conduit inside the pvc to give it some rigidity and poly cord between the pipes to hang towels etc. on. Have done a few other mods also, replaced the freestanding table legs with floor mounted tubes for a more stable table which was posted in another thread and also just completed the Hunter thermostat mod, replaceing the duo therm thermostat.

How are the new jacks working out. I have the "C" jacks on the trailer now and since I am a large person the trailer moves when I walk around, would these help steady the trailer.

IMO, I prefer the scissor type jacks over the single arm type. Single arm jacks just cant lift the TT for leveling on those tough to level sites. Wife says the TT is more stable with scissor type and I tend to agree. Very simple mod, took about 2 hours to remove single arm type and replace with scissors. BTW was able to sell the jacks I took off on Craigs list!
