Solar

I have a solar problem that I'd like to ask a few questions about . I have a renogy with a 40 amp controller .I now have 4 six volt batterys connected too it . It seems to work fine. My problem is the house batterys are not connected to the controller. Can I use the same lugs at the controller too wire the house batterys and of course install fuses both ends thank you

What house batteries are you talking about?

Do not connect different styles of batteries or different age batteries together. That's the general rule.

You can use your system to charge both sets of batteries, but not at the same time. You may have to change battery types of an option. Different types and different levels of charge will cause problems if connected to same controller.

One solution is to add a second controller tied into the panel feed line and use it to control charging for the other battery bank.
