Torklift Steps

I just ordered a set, won't be able to install until spring. Wondering how people like them who also have installed.

Here’s a link to a thread I did when I got a set to review.

Torklift Steps

We've been using them for over 3 years now, best modification ever. Very easy to install, ours just bolted in. We installed the 3 step to replace the 2 step fold out. So much more comfortable to use and very stable.

We installed them a couple of years ago. One of the best mods so far. We had the three step on our camper (original junk) but ordered the TorkLift GlowStep Revolution Scissor Steps w/ Landing Gear - 4 Steps. You can always remove the forth step if needed, but that forth is really nice.

Solid Step Fold Dow Steps

With almost all RV manufacturers going with the solid step fold down steps from Lippert or MorRyde in 5th wheels. These steps are a real concern when stopping in rest areas and storing the RV in tight areas. I know MorRyde has a removable set, but a 50+ pounds they are too much for me. These steps stick out so much further than the old flip out steps. We worry about some 18 wheeler parking next to us and either hitting the deployed steps or preventing us from storing the steps back in the door.

This brings me to the TorkLift Glowstep Revolution Uprising 4 or 5 step stairs. These seem like a good solution, especially for a senior or slight of build person. There just doesn't seem to be many reviews and comments on these steps. I would love to hear comments from people especially those who have these steps installed.

We had them on our previous TT and loved them. Would have them on the current TT but it came with the fold down solid steps and I've learned to live with them.

We are liking them. There are many adjustments and a smaller rise than the factory steps. It’s fixed our issue of when leveling and raising the step side it made for a huge first step. Installed the 4 step version replaced the factory 3 step.

I provided a link in my post #2 of this thread to a review I did of the GlowStep Uprising steps.

I have them on my trailer (under-mount version) and am very happy with them. Biggest issue for me - one of the OEM steps self deployed on a trip as we were going around the NB curve on 1-75 at Lexington KY! Until we converted, I used a bungee cord to insure they stayed stowed, a bit of a pita.

After 3 years, they still look almost brand new.

I had mine for over 5 years and even had them transferred from one fifth wheel to another. They're one of the biggest things I miss with having switched to a motorhome.

Torklifts are the only ones I would buy after having them put on my previous fifth wheel. In consideration was Torklifts and the MorRyde version of the Solid Steps (before every maker started putting them on most rigs.

The deal breaker to the Solid Steps was when backed into a very tight site with folding steps, it had limited access on that side, the folding steps worked fine, but felt the Solid Steps could be an issue. Torklilfts were ordered, then about 6 months after they were installed, was parked in our usual storage spot, went out without the truck to drop some things off so couldn't move it forward. I couldn't get the door of the fifth wheel fully opened from the boat stored next to it. With the Torklifts, I opened them as far as I could and still could get in and out safely.

Thanks for the reply! We now have had our new 5th wheel for a week. It came with the Lippert Solid Step stairs. We very much dislike these. They are heavy and my wife is afraid to raise or lower these steps. The TorkLift looks more and more like the right choice.

We are on year 2 of our Torklift steps. Went from the factory 3 step to the 4 step. Love them, I have had both knees replaced and these are so much eaiser to use. Bonus, the wife loves them too!!!!Good luck.

Best steps I've had on any RV. Very adaptable to the space you need to deploy them.

I just installed a set yesterday. Huge difference. Plug and play for my trailer. Went from 2 steps to 3. So much better on knees and my dog.

So glad you love them. Top of the line in my book. One of the best mods I've done.

Thanks.
It's been said before, but it's my best modification to my TT.
