It may help if you state what model and year you at looking to improve. From all that I’ve heard, it has the most effect on the ‘15 chassis and earlier motorhomes. Ive not heard of anyone doing it on the ‘16 chassis with the six speed tranny.

I did the 5star on my 2017.
I did notice an improvement in both flat terrain and hills.

What have you noticed about mileage?

Thanks for your reply. If you noticed any improvement in your 2017 I would assume there would be night and day on my 2007.

Triton V10 performance

2014 V10. 3170 Sunseeker, 5 star tune. Installed 2-1/2 years ago.
Much improved shifting points. Does not downshift so much. Makes for a much better driving experience.
Seen no difference in MPG. with toad, still around 7.75 for flat roads, 6.2 mountains.
Keeps the torque converter locked up longer so traffic merging is less stressful.
Easy to install, good tech support.
After install, gas gauge would not read. Disconnected battery and reconnected. No other issues.

I had a 2007 Hurricane Class A with the Triton V10. We live in Colorado and needed to pull a 24' enclosed race car trailer. This poor thing could barely maintain the speed limit and you could literally watch the gas gauge go down.

I installed the Banks Engineering kit. You replace the stock exhaust manifolds with headers, replace the stock exhaust system from headers back to the exhaust tip with a low restriction system, you replace the air intake with a high flow version and there is an electronic module that controls the engine and manages shift points on the transmission. HUGE improvement in towing/shifting performance, literally night & day. Only a slight improvement in fuel mileage while towing, but 3-4 mpg when not towing. A friend and I installed the entire kit ourselves in 1 day, only required basic mechanic skills and no special tools. I eventually moved on to a diesel pusher but the kit really helped the V10. The other kits that only include an engine tuner will help a little, but if you use the Banks kit with the exhaust and intake modifications, it really lets the V10 breath and make more HP. Runs cooler too because it isn't working so hard.

I agree w Garrette.

2014 Sunseeker 3050. 5 Star Tune. 87 octane tow. K&N air intake. Cut off stock muffler and replaced with Magnaflow free flow muffler. Everything flows so much better than stock. Little bit of drone at certain rpms, but definitely worth the work

I have a 5 star tune in my 02 V-10 Excursion. Made a huge difference in towing. It tows so much better. It no longer short shifts, it holds each gear longer, shifts firmer and now maintains O/D on some hills. The small HP TQ gain is noticeable, but I got it mainly for the improved shift strategy. I did gain .5 mpg towing.

Worth every penny.
