TT wall thickness

I am installing a slide top awning. I've done it before on other campers however I have never had one like my new 2019 forest river alpha wolf with the new the laminate construction and wondering how thick the walls are. When I'm putting on the top strip for the awning bead I've got the screws that came with the kit just wondering how thick the walls are before one of the screws pokes through on this type of construction. Thanks for any info

I have a couple suggestions. First, look at the wall at the main entrance door where they mounted the strike plate. The wall where you’ll be mounting the track for the slide topper is probably the exact same composition and thickness. Second, double-check with the factory.

I’ve had slide toppers installed on 2 trailers. I wasn’t brave enough to do it myself either time but I did insist that the installer use stainless steel screws if the kit didn’t come with ss hardware.

Good luck.
