Regular is fine. There isn't anything special about most factory provided RV TVs and they are typically on the cheapo side anyway.

Regular TV, unless you want it to run on 12 volt.

Regular Tv's will be fine. But, just like in your house, watch for excessive moisture. More so since an RV that is not used daily and closed up for long periods, they can be subjected to changes in temperature and therefore condensation. Just keep an eye out and ventilate the RV frequently when not being used.

Furrion TVs claim to be made for RVs. They are made to withstand a lot of vibration and temperature changes. There also a lot more money. That being said, I have owned five different RVs over the years, and never had a problem with any of the TVs in them......Bruce

There is a lot of hype about R/V ready tvs. Other than some are 12v plug and play, it is just that, hype.

We have had LOTS of different tvs over the years. We don't bring them in in the winter, we don't take special precautions for moisture (think of tvs in outside compartments) and we have never had a single issue. All of them bought at Best Buy, Walmart, K-Mart and the like.

We have had two tvs in our sticks and bricks house go bad. Go figure!

One word of caution. If you are looking at purchasing a new tv, check it out in person. Many of the lower cost tvs have very poor viewing angles and this can be a problem due to the placement in some RVs. View the tv from an angle similar to how it will be viewed in the RV.

The last Blockbuster is in Bend, Oregon. The owner says it will not be closing anytime soon.

Regular TVs are just fine as long as they have the interfaces your are looking for.... IMO besides the cable jack your should have multiple HDMI inputs this way besides the RV cable hook up, you can use HDMIs for a DVD player and another HDMI for any streaming devices you might want to hook up like Amazon Fire Stick or Roku...

If you also want the TV to play on some sort of amplified sound through your RV speakers/IVR head unit, you probably also want to have the Audio out jacks...

The one thing I do like about the TV we have in our RV is in the set up menu, they have an antenna signal strength indicator which I find handy when I'm turning the antenna to get a better signal... That's very handy, unless you have one of those newer antennas that does not turn in which case a signal indicator is sort of useless...
