Under floor storage

I was inspecting the undercarriage in my 2017 Isata 3 and noticed the unused volume between the underside of the coach’s floor and the top of the MB Sprinter chassis along the centerline of the vehicle. The left and right hand areas seem pretty well utilized with the cargo compartments, generator, propane, potable, gray and waste tanks. Often times Sail boats are equipped with easily removable floorboards to access the bilge and this area is utilized to store miscellaneous items such as canned goods, wine bottles, etc. I have seen similar approaches in small European RV/caravans. Has anyone modified their RV (more specifically an Isata 3) to take advantage of this otherwise underutilized area? Thanks!

Welcome to the forum its a great place to get your questions answered. I can't help but you may try the search function with Isanta 3 mods or something like that good luck.

We installed a flush style boat hatch on our previous rv (2001 Santara) to replace fuel pump. Used a drop in box to store "stuff" and threw a rug over it.
