Cool Upgrade pioneer radio on ford e450 truck

We just bought a 2017 Forest River 3011DS. The truck radio is disappointing, to say the least. It is a Pioneer Mixtrak with NO navigation and the USB input doesn't seem to recognize a flash drive (for music). It's set up for Sirius and has a DVD player, but no nav. Has anyone upgraded their truck radio to something with good navigation, Apple Car Play, and Andriod Auto? If so, what did you buy, and did you do it yourself?
Thanks!

Exact same model, exact same issue. Pioneer AVH-X280OBS model used to work with my iPhone 8 using APP RadioLive and NAV Mii, now doesn't. The reason I am late to this thread is that the RV has been in storage due to medical issues, but when I took it (and its square tires) out last October I discovered it no longer has any Navigation features. I just got off the phone with Pioneer, and they told me that the Apps have been discontinued, with no replacement Apps available. I am curious what others have done.

I believe mine is Jensen and like others, it has become pretty useless. I went with a Garmin RV 780 for navigation and stream music via bluetooh.

Moved thread from the Modifications and Updates section to the Forester and Sunseeker sub-forum for better help from other Forester owners and possible factory support.

I replaced my 2006 radio with an apple carplay compatible Jensen.

I went with this:
10.1" Receiver with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto (jensenmobile.com)

It fits nicely, the large 10-inch display doesn't block anything on the Ford dash. I mainly wanted the Apple CarPlay feature so I could better use the nav and SiriusXM phone apps. The big display is also nice for viewing the backup camera.

My E450 has no audio controls on the steering wheel so i wanted a unit with an actual volume knob. it also has some actual buttons. You want to keep your eyes on the road, not searching a piece of glass for some touch spot.

It comes with a USB-A port so you can charge your phone or use wired CarPlay.
