For folks with 50 amp service trailers. I just saw a post that said the full hybrid 7.2k watt generator provides a 30 amp plug on one circuit and 4 20 amp plugs on a separate circuit - not the 50 amp service we see in campgrounds. Poster was complaining that the truck disconnected when he put more than a 30 amp load on it.
Still waiting to see reports on the non-hybrid version.

Correction on the above post:
For an F150 full hybrid with Powerboost:
The generator has two hot legs (+120v, -120v), ground and neutral. It can supply 30 amps on each of the 120v circuits or 30amps at 240v across the two hot legs.
The round outlet in your bed carries all four wires.
If you go over 30 amps of draw on either of the two 120v circuits you will overload the generator.
If your rv is wired for 30amp 3 wire 120v service you will only be able to use 3600 watts at a time from your f150.
If your rv is wired for 50amp 4 wire service, you should be able to use 7200 watts (3600 watts from each of the 120v legs). In other words, you should be able to grab 30 amps from each of circuits A and B simultaneously.
Sorry for any confusion...

I would like to see the connector for either scenario.

right, because if the truck doesn't have a NEMA 14-50 '50amp RV Outlet', then accessing the 'two' separate legs of power for a 50amp RV is going to be problematic, if not impossible. I believe this is actually two separate 120v outputs from the generator, like most RV generators, not 240v power. The two hot legs simply provide two separate lines to accommodate separate 'circuits', including the 30amp outlet.

if the 'round' outlet you refer to is actually 240v power, then you could NOT plug in ANY 30amp RV since they are only 120v.

I believe it is a 30 amp 240 volt socket from what I have read.

I hope the new F150 LIGHTNING all electric ALL BATTERY power comes with all FOUR outlets: 50amp 240v for bigger RVs and such, 30amp 240v for a WELDER or such, 30amp 120v for most all other CAMPERS, and many 20amp 120v household outlets.

sounds right since most 'contractors' might want to use a 240v WELDER or COMPRESSOR or such - although this is NOT the 30amp outlet that an RV plugs into - it probably wouldn't fit, anyway.

Is the inverter a true sine wave or a modified sine wave. If modified sine wave I'd check with the Soft Start or Easy start people and see if it will work.
Plus, During the day while traveling, the trailer is in the sun and gets hot. If the OP could run the A/C during the day while traveling, the engine is running and maybe there'd be enough energy generated to run the A/C

That is great information Dragon. If I understand correctly you can directly plug in a 50 amp RV into the adapter or plug in a 50 to 30 adapter into that adapter for a 30 amp RV.

4 camping days with F150 Hybrid 7.2kw Gen
Folks,
New poster to the forum, appreciative lurker for several years. The quality of the info and community here is quite something...
Quick feedback on this thread -
- Bought the hybrid F150 in JAN and have camped 4 nights now in hot NC summer using the pro power onboard generator
- Ran the truck/gen 48 hours straight and powered the entire geo pro 19BH trailer entire time on one excursion where ambient air temp was 90ish. Fridge, AC, lights, pump all operating with no issues
- truck would fire up the motor for 2-3 mins, charge the onboard batt and then go quiet for 10-15 mins
- not sure how much fuel consumed, but it was minimal
- during another excursion, interval between motor starts was 15-25 mins due to lower ambient temp and AC not firing up compressor as often
- noise level was expected brrrruuumm of the motor start and then run at idle throttle for few mins
Hint for any similar F150 owners: use the option on the LCD display to turn it off as it is bright and does get hot when running constantly
HTH someone.

What does your truck's Tires and Loading sticker say is the payload capacity?

My F150 Powerboost's payload is 1595 lbs. It is a 4x4 Lariat Supercrew, 3.73 rear end, with the 7KW generator. It has the standard tow package, 7350# gvwr with the 11000 # hitch. It also has the 3 leaf rear springs and stock front stabilizer bar. Hope this helps.
