Where to buy Slide Toppers

Hello,

I would like to add slide toppers to our rig. However, I am finding limited options for Canadian availability and pricing is expected to reflect that. I am thinking about waiting till we are in Southwest US this winter if that will be a better option?

3 slides

156”
160”
206”

FWIW, the main awning is a Carefree.

Thank you for the input.

If you are in Arizona during the RV show, you may be able to get a good deal. I think its in Jan or Feb.

Hitting up an RV show is a good idea. Just have to keep my wife away from those fancy diesel pushers!

Check Camping World. They sometimes have good sale prices and may ship for free....

Added 3 Toppers

I just added 3 toppers about same size as yours at T&S Enterprises in Navasota, Texas for approx $1,300, installed. Very happy with them.

4 units back IO bought online and a neighbor and I installed. Never again for 2 reasons ~~~ 1st I'm too old for that stuff. Most important on my last 3 had them installed when CW had them on sale. The install was on sale as well. Total has been only slightly installing myself...

The biggest problem I’m having is the 206” slide is about 11” longer than the longest awnings I am finding. So that really limits my options. One suggestion was to put a standard awning over both slides on that side, but I don’t really like that idea. It would have to be probably 36 feet long.

ShadePro is in California. I only bought a window awning from them but was impressed with the service. They would be my first choice if I ever need anything to do with awnings.

Back in March I bought a 7 1/2 (90") foot black Solera slide topper with all black hardware for only $215.00 online from Camping World. Shipping was free and my wife and I installed it pretty easily. The dealer wanted 4 or 5 hundred to install one when I bought the trailer in 2016, so I'm very pleased with the savings.

Here's a link to the one I got and you customize the length when ordering.

ShadePro got us taken care of. Carefree “Ascent” so the case profile matches our main awning. So far I am impressed!

I'm not brave enough to try to install them myself. The dealer is installing them.

In 2012 I had a local dealer install a Dometic slide topper for CDN$500 on our Roo that we bought used. Current price is CDN$595 each for the 3 awnings on our new 5er.
