Window in entrance door

I am thinking of installing a window in my entrance door on my 2019 Wildwood T251SSXL toy hauler. There is no window now. Iím wondering if anyone knows the construction of the door, is there a frame inside? Would there be a framed area for a window or is the door a piece of foam Insulation. Any help is appreciated.

Wouldn't a stud finder show the location of studs inside the door?

No definite framework found with a stud finder. Just a lot of erroneous blips, thatís why Iím wondering if maybe itís foam core sandwiched between the panels. Might have to remove door latch and see whatís in there.

It is just foam sandwiched between two panels.

Take some Frog (see what I did there ) tape and tape the area on both sides of the door where you'll be cutting, then mark out the cut line and carefully cut out the hole for the window.

I use an oscillating saw, but a drill and jigsaw will work. Be careful and go slow, especially on the radiused corners.

Just installed one in the 171rbxl.
Pretty easy to do.
The cardboard cutout on the box is bigger than what is needed.
Measure the new window and use that.
Take your time and it's a great addition to the door.

I put one in my Graywolf 26rr. Bought on Ebay for $85, has the inside shade you can pull down. It didn't come with a template, so I put 2" blue painters tape centered around where I wanted the window then placed the window on top, traced around window with pencil, measured in 3/8" from tracing to make cut line. Just be careful, the skin on both sides is very thin and could be prone to chipping. There is no interior framing or braces that I could detect. Put a bead of silicone caulking around window flange and push into place. Screw inside trim into place & you are done. A little scary to cut into the unknown but pretty easy once you get started. Good luck.

Here's my installation on our Cruise Lite 210RBXL. It was very easy to do and we're really happy with the extra advisability - I can keep a better eye on the dogs now!
