I've only been to one location where the employees wore roller skates and they don't bring your food out on a tray to stick on your window anymore but they are still around...

This place in my hometown of Chicago DOES bring a tray to put on your window. If anyone is near there I highly recommend a hot dawg!

I remember having a resistor installed on the generator to help eliminate engine (rpm)whine sounds in the radio and able to get Wolfman Jack on the radio 150 miles away (on a clear night). :-)

Everyone listened to WLS out of Chicago and the DJ Dick Biondi. Also listened to the radio station in Del Rio Texas, they had their transmitter in Mexico and ran stronger power than was allowed in the US.

We always used a capacitor like the ones for the ignition points.

"D A" haircuts,real cool Perry Como sweaters,white buck shoes ( hated to get the first smudge on a new pair,but didn't mind after that), shoe taps ( I went to a brand new high school and the principal banned them on the new tile floors), blue suede shoes and jackets,our cafeteria had those little Dixie cup ice cream containers that you pulled the top off and ate the ice cream with a little wooden spoons - the list goes on.

I have gone to neighbors houses for funerals. I have seen folks from the old country with the departed loved one laid out on the dining room table surrounded by flowers.
