I had a Jack-Rat(cause I couldn't afford a Jack Russell) and she was "active". One day she got out and didn't want to go back in the fence. I scolded several times and then popped her on the back-side...she snapped at me so i bent over and popped her again(no I didn't hurt her) and she jumped and bit me on the face. It startled me and I wiped my face with the back of my hand to see blood. Then it started pouring down my face and running down my shirt. I went inside and cleaned up and went back outside just about that time DW pulled up. She had a heart attack till I told her what happened. Got a large switch and the dog went back in after that. Several people asked me if I killed the dog and of course I did not, but from then on I was cautious with her. She got paid back... a 39" Copperhead killed her.
