I ran across one of these in the crawl space (about 18” from the bottom of the joists to the ground) of a fairly new addition to a house a couple of years ago. It was as far away from the crawl space access as you could go under the house, laying on its back with the head resting on the foundation wall. I’m sure whoever put it there had the same idea in mind. It definitely looked real as I crawled towards it with my flashlight, but what gave it away when I got up close was the mold seam that ran across the middle of the entire skull. I didn’t tell anybody about it — why ruin a good thing?
