Right in around 10 mpg @ 46000 lbs if I stick to 60 mph or less. It idles along at 1400 RPM @ 60 mph, it drops about 1 mpg when I get into the mountains. If I don't take the Jeep I get about 0.5 mpg more.

Hey, we have to pay for our free health care somewhere!
I used to worry about fuel prices, but then wised up and bought a bunch of energy stocks. Now I make far more money than I spend when oil prices skyrocket. I'd gladly pay $10/gallon ($2.50/litre).

Health care??

What does gas price have to do with health care? Not one cent goes to it. I am sick of hearing Canadians always blaming extortion prices on our health care. I complain at the beer store and employees blame it on health care. BS. We pay more than 2x the cost for beer and liquor in Ontario. We get screwed at the pumps for 91 octaine 14x4=56 cents extra per gallon for 91 while US pays apprx 25 cents extra, Must be because of our health care. NOt.
Why do we pay 2x the cost for freight on new vehicles and 20% more when the dollar has been at par for ages?
Sorry. Had to vent

"What does gas price have to do with health care? Not one cent goes to it."

dezolen, ever heard of 'taxes'?
In Canada, we simply pay more tax on everything.
As far as gouging, Americans are also paying more for gas this time around. For some reason, gasoline is getting almost as expensive as when oil went to $140+. I would guess it is the refiners taking a ****** cut. Why, I am not sure.

Regardless, I would rather pay a bit of extra tax than have to pay the $15,000/year it would cost us for health insurance in the US, and still face the possibilty of getting cut off.

* Multiply that by 128 = cost in Canadian dollars per US gallon.
* Convert that to US dollars by multiplying by the going exchange rate.
That sure is over thinking it. price per litre x 3.89 and forget the exchange at the moment. We pay $1.60 per gallon in Saskatchewan more for 91 octane than we paid in Rapid City. With oil where it is we should be paying no more than a buck a litre but the oil companies always have an excuse regardless. One day it is the dollar next it is well we had to shut a refinery down to gee my wife needed a new bently and I sure am not paying for it.

You forgot, "There's a blizzard on the prairies and it could affect the oil pipelines".
