I don't get how people can spend that kind of money on an RV and then do dumb things with it. I have seen videos on Youtube of a place called Pismo Beach were people are driving expensive RV's, trailers and 5th wheels through the surf and half getting stuck resulting in flooding. I guess it would be nice to camp next to a beach but really!

And, if it was flooded insurance may not cover the cost of repairs.. They'd say he was off road and deny it I'm sure... Dumb dumb dumb...

I spend so much time and energy washing and waxing my TT, condition the tires and polish the chrome rims...cold day in hell I would drive it through the salt water surf...I don't like it when my baby gets dirty. Maybe that is why it still looks brand new. Imagine the rot and rust that would start with running it through salt water.

At Pismo Beach, the gate security guard tells you to stay on packed down sand, otherwise you'll have to pay someone to tow you out. There are areas in the beach where you can camp with your RVs, tents, TT etc. The guard also have a sheet that'll let you know the tide times for that week so you don't get stuck like the above video. We stayed at Oceano SB park, really nice park, walking distance to the beach. A friend of mine camped at the beach with his TH, afterwards he mentioned, you would only camp there if you don't mind alot of sand inside the RV

Night Stone, agreed, it would be so relaxing to be on the beach, listening to the surf and watching the herring gulls, the palm trees swaying in the breeze......and paying hundreds of dollars to get pulled out....mastercard moment. yes you would be finding sand for the next 100 years, nothing like sand in the bedsheets. Second thought I think I would rather swat a mosquito.

My guess is that they were drunk several days prior and had a massive hangover and had no idea what day it even was.
