And double extra credit to the first person who knows what TV theme song (and now movie theme song) was written in 5/4 time.
Were you a Stranglers fan in the 80's? The songwriter was apparently in love with eighth notes, lots of them.

I got it because my mother was a piano teacher and our house had both piano and organ in the living room. All four of us kids had to learn both piano and at least one instrument while in school.

Based on our last couple of trips, I need one of these for our trailer. In our case, it's the toaster that is the primary culprit...

I went to dinner at my Daughter's house Saturday night. Three times while there the smoke detectors throughout the house went off, sounding the alarm three times and went silent. No cooking going on and nobody smoked. This happened several times.

My grandkids said this was a regular occurrence My SIL said he had no idea why.

His occupation? He's been a fireman for over 20 years.

He was shocked when I suggested his alarms might need to be replaced, or at least the one in the "daisy chain" that was causing the problem.

The fireman was not taking some of his work home with him, was he?

I have visions in my mind of smoke wafting from his clothing toward the detectors.

He's a fireman at a huge manufacturing facility that has their own Fire Department. The only time he even comes in contact with a fire is when they do their annual training and then all his gear remains behind at the "station".

I suspect that he has a bad detector and is both too lazy and too cheap to find and replace it.
