it happens to everyone, doesn't it

I've spent the last month looking for my favorite pair of shoes to no avail. So yesterday, I went shoe shopping. I usually go to an Amish owned boot and shoe store by Berlin, Ohio. They remember me for being a repeat customer and having the one shoe's sole built up. Now that I only need one shoe, they had a mis-matched pair in my size, original price $110., and sold me the left only for $15. On the way home, my wife said we would probably trip over the other pair going in the door. Not exactly, but within an hour, she found them- behind my recliner! Just another one of life's funny mysteries.

By definition everything you find is always in the last place you look. Who in their right mind would continue looking after it's found?

I lost my Verizon Jet-Pack Hotspot. I tore the trailer, house, office, truck and coat pockets inside out looking for the lil' bugger. I hadn't seen it since last summer! Finally found last week it hiding in it's black cotton drawstring bag in my trucks console tray UNDER the GPS and Post-it notes I keep in there. The console tray is black, the Jet Pack bag is black and it tucked down so nicely I thought I was seeing the bottom of the console tray!

Every time i cant find something i just go buy another and go home and without fail find the one I had. Then just return the new one. Beats looking and never finding the old one.

If I can't find something-I just ask my Wife to look for it, she usually finds it within 5 minutes and then tells me it's because I look for things like a guy.

I tell my DW all the time she looks like a man. No pun intended. She walks into a room. Turns around and can't find it.

Last year before we left for Goshen, TOWTA hid her 02 Cad keys. Turns out we bought an old junk 96 De Ville and gave the 02 Cad to our oldest son. Luckily, we had 2 sets of keys, I gave him mine and TOWTA has yet to find her keys. I guess when we're gone and they clean the house out, they might find them.

Cleaning out the storage unit today, found a rubber strap that goes to my craftsman strap wrench which is on my work bench in the house. The 2 pieces haven't been together in 3 years. BTW, just found the handle a week ago
