The tire was destroyed from him driving on it flat and had chunks missing out of it. I told him all we could do was put his spare on which he didnt have. I told him his other option was to have it towed somewhere.
He laughed at me and said he had a third option and that was to go find a real tire shop. His words.
I walked back in the shop to finish my other customers as he got back in his car. I heard him crank up then a terrible scraping sound. When I came back out, this guy had attempted to drive over the curb into the main street. With the flat tire, he got hung up on the curb and was stuck, partially blocking a lane. I just shook my head and walked back in the shop..... That isn't a real tire shop.

I got money and a little lagniappe from the last customer. She came in to purchase a tire and had her spare mounted on the vehicle. She said she had a blowout last night. When I went to get her full size tire and rim out of the hatch, I could hear what sounded like maybe her tpms sensor rolling around inside the tire.
When I dismounted the tire, here is what I found, that she had ran over. They are actually in pretty good shape.

I wanna see the size of the hole they left! I've never seen something that big go all the way through and rattle around! Are you sure they weren't left in the tire during the previous mounting?

I had a whole pair of scissors go through my Jeep tire once minus the plastic handle. Left about. 2 inch slit in the tread

On a freeway off ramp my dad cut the corner and ran over part of the flat shoulder and then thunk. Stopped and heard hissing and quickly drove to our nearby service station. The head of an open end wrench was sticking out of the tire. We figured it was on the shoulder and our front tire lifted it up at just the right angle for it to puncture the rear.

We had a screwdriver go thru our tire, blade first. The plastic handle was worn down and kept the tire partially inflated until we could get off the freeway to a side street.

Some of our dealers would keep a large "pickled egg" jar on their sales counter with all the various objects taken out of flat tires.
All the usual nails, bilts, screws, tools, etc.
One memorable one was the head of a 3-tined hand garden cultivator. Guy's wife told her hubby the car was making a funny noise after she backed out of garage and drove down the street. Told him she parked it and walked home.
Hubby found the cultivator head half in tread and sidewall with handle broken off. She made it about 3/4 mile.

A friend just hit some kind of a tool laying in the road with his class A, it lodged between the duallies, knocked the outside tire off the rim then bounced out and took out the airbag. [emoji853]

It's a French/Cajun term and is used a lot down here in the boot. You will find businesses named with it and on restaurant menus for the sides/extras.
I sometimes forget that the other states may not be as sophisticated as we are and know the terminology. Lol

A whole set of tires would beget you some lagniappe of an autographed oven mitt and possibly some 78% nitrogen air.
