Not to mention, most of those wheel locks can be defeated with little effort...

A guy brought this "brand new tire" according to him, in to see if I could find out why it's leaking. He said he took it back to that place I talk about a lot, as that's where he bought it from two weeks ago and they told him they couldn't find a leak.

If this is true, and I do believe him, see if you notice some oddities. Lol

Or is that a new colour for tire rubber compound?? Comes complete with that new fangled checking/cracking (outer edge of tire, upper right??) right out of the mould . . .

Funny thing, a tire that hasn't been cured in the mold yet is called a "Green Tire".

That said, factories usually don't include any mold

My first thought was how would you balance a tire like that.

With more, larger, weights.

Not to mention a larger and more expensive wheel balancing machine.

Pretty sure who ever owns that tire is not concerned about balancing.

That “other” tire place you talk about sure is low. Kinda surprised the guy didn’t say they told him to bring it to you and you “have to” find the leak on that vintage tire.

This was a new one. Guy walks up with a backpack on. No vehicle, he's on foot. Says his girlfriend bought tires on a Honda Pilot and then says she also bought a two year warranty on them. He said the tires are worn out and he wants the money back.

I tell him I have no idea what he is talking about as I don't sell two year warranties. I tell him to go find his receipt and he may figure out where he is supposed to be.

He tells me it's here, where she bought them, and she sent him to pick up the money.

I'm trying real hard to not laugh (but maybe ya are).

I tell him that's not the way tires work, and he needs to find a receipt and maybe he can go from there and take the tires back where she purchased them, to see if there is any warranty.

He then gets mad and tells me that's not right. I'm supposed to give him the money, now. I don't give him money, but do give him that look I usually always reserved for the ex wife, when just hearing comments removed for any form of reality.....and tell him good luck.

He walks off (literally) just a cursing.

Just when I think I've read every possible crazy thing that can happen at a tire shop, a story like this pops up.
