Sorry.
But then again, I'm not an ancient Roman, so what the heck do I know?

Ok we will see if this comes back to bite me. The lady with the two cards was here this morning when I pulled up. She wanted to pay for the two tires so I could order them....but still pay with credit cards even after I told her I would need cash yesterday.
For some unexplained reason my credit card terminal would not work this morning for her. We tried several times. She did go to a credit union and brought me back cash so I ordered the tires.
I'll see how this goes tomorrow when I install the tires.
Funny thing is, after she left to go get the cash, I noticed my cc terminal was disconnected from the computer/phone. I plugged it back and all is working now. Weird how that happened.

"Rubber Gremlins" isn't a term I expected to hear today (or ever).

I think he's implying that one of the employees in the shop (possibly the owner?) unplugged the machine so that he wouldn't have to take her credit card.

All I said was "for unexplained reasons". If I say too much then I might be explaining. Lol

I had to finally quit dressing the part. My cape kept getting hung in the spin balancer.

My comments were of course pure speculation and cannot be used in a court of law*.

This box truck drove in the parking lot wanting all their tire pressures checked/adjusted. Problem is they couldn't get close enough to our doors to do it as the driver said he had no reverse.
I was kind of chuckling as I read the business name having a truck that can't back up, and thought maybe it was just left on the truck from a previous owner...but the guy had a shirt on with the same name embroidered on it.

And I bet the truck has a current state inspection sticker.
