Hey now, Piggly Wiggly is sacred. FYI, you may want to study up on the pig cause they shaped your life. First to offer self service grocery shopping. First to offer shopping carts. First to price mark all items. First to offer checkout stands.

Piggly Wiggly stores here were all "eaten up" by Safeway about 60 years ago.
One of their earlier locations in downtown Seattle eventually turned into a strip club.
Some legacy[emoji849]

Dolly Parton just bought Big Lots, Piggly Wiggly and Harris Teeter. Rumor has it she’s going to call the new store Big Wiggly Teeters.

I really like Piggly Wiggly. You can forget almost any supermarket name coast to coast and around the world, but how could you ever forget Piggly Wiggly? It could be a fun thing to add to your bucket list if you've never been to one.
And if I remember correctly, the lady on checkout asked me if I collected "Piggy Points". Something like that anyway; I found it quite amusing. Great marketing.

Next time you're around there, go to big pop's. Best beef ribs in the country.

Even scripture says that Joseph was henpecked...
"...and Mary rode Joseph's ass all the way to Bethlehem..."

Those attending the FROG Holiday Festival of Lights Rally in Charleston, SC next week can see the home of Clarence Saunders, the founder of Piggly Wiggly, located at 74 Murray Blvd., along the Ashley River near White Point Garden and The Battery. While the chain was founded in Memphis, Saunders later lived in Charleston.
Note the tributes to the Piggly Wiggly chain at the foot of the front steps. They don't wiggle, as far as I know.

Al, I hope you'll excuse me if I don't stand too close to you to say hello the next time we get together. You know, lightning strikes and all ...
