Clever...but I’m still trying to get my head around the kind of emergency in which this would be needed, and how one would just happen to have these materials available during said emergency. The last time I experienced an emergency like this, there was no time for this

Emergency may not be the best choice of words. Maybe standby toilet, these work very well when you have your rig winterized and still want to camp.

OMG!!!

Many, many moons ago I took a walk with something very similar into the woods in the Adirondack park (we were "tent" camping in vans, no indoor anything except blowup air mattresses).

The soft ground, comprised of mainly pine needles that are half decayed are NOT compatible with a device like this if there is a solid tree root under the front edge …

I thought that I could carefully balance … but "mission accomplished" ("duty done"?) I leaned backwards a hair too far …

Good thing we were camped by a lake.

And I didn't know what to do with the leftover noodle I have. I have a fold-able toilet seat I use but it can pinch.

A garbage bag with kitty litter works too. Just a bit of pre-planning involved, we don't take our cats to the trailer so had to bring from home. Tie up the bag when you leave and dispose.
